New York Times Op-Ed on Medical Aid in Dying

In June 2016, California became the fourth state in the nation to allow medical aid in dying for patients suffering from terminal illnesses. Jessica Nutik Zitter, a critical care and palliative medicine doctor at AHS's Highland Hospital, recently penned an op-ed for The New York Times about the critical policies and procedures that are now being put in place to account for the nuanced social, legal and ethical questions that will continue to arise.
